ISEE Rikubetsu Observatory on the 2nd floor of Rikubetsu Space Earth Science Museum.

Rikubetsu Observatory is one of the 5 domestic observatories of ISEE located in the northern part of Japan, Hokkaido. The continuous monitoring of ozone at 110 GHz started in 1999 by the National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES), and ISEE has been operating the instruments since 2011 after taking over from NIES. We are studying temporal variations of stratospheric and mesospheric ozone in the mid-latitude region, from diurnal variation to long-term trend.
Hourly averaged data of ozone vertical profiles are submitted to the NDACC (Network for the Detection of Atmospheric Composition Change) archive since 2013 December.
